The complete 6-piece train set includes the engine, lumber car, barrel car, log car, tanker car, and caboose. They are made with solid cherry and maple so they are as beautiful to look at as they are fun to play with. Most of the cargo is removable, encouraging imaginative play and development of fine motor skills. Only $160 ($183.00, if purchased separately)!
1. Locomotive: Built with solid cherry, maple and birch. It has a hand turned boiler, cherry cabin and maple roof.
2. Lumber Car: Cherry body and various kinds of lumber. The 'lumber' is removable and mounts on pegs, encouraging imaginative play and development of fine motor skills. Pick up your lumber at the sawmill in the living room and deliver it to the construction site in the kitchen.
3. Tanker Car: Uses contrasting cherry and maple with a cherry 'tank'.
4. Log Car: Cherry body and various kinds of logs. Dowels hold natural wood sticks as logs. The 'cargo' is removable, encouraging imaginative play and development of fine motor skills. This car has also been known to transport silverware from the kitchen to the dining room table.
5. Barrel Car: Cherry body and birch barrels. The hardwood barrels mount on pegs. Young children love to take the barrels off and put them back on over and over again. The removable cargo encourages imaginative play and development of fine motor skills.
6. Caboose: Made with solid cherry and maple so it's as beautiful to look at as it is fun to play with.
